RG41

One further development and exploration into light and colour. Whereas the last pieces explored first forms of drawing, and them layering, this series will focus more on depth of field.

RG41. Studies on Depth.
"There is no sense of scale, of a negative or of a zero point with respect to intensities - these only appear when intensities are explicated in terms of distances. Intensities are the conditions for sensation and for significance such as depth, as such, it is a mistake to abstract from the sensation to a grid that allows for comparisons, including ones that involve opposed values (higher/lower), or that allows for a zero point. Instead, if there is sensation, if there is significance, then there must be a change and that change matters in itself."
